A Walk to Windermere shoreline and Rawlinson Nab

This is a lovely Lake District walk that Margaret and I did the other day.

Starting from the front door, down the drive and turn right and continue past the Tower Bank Arms.

Take the footpath on the right which runs parallel to the road.

At the path junction head straight on and follow this in the direction of St Peter's Church.

At the road turn right and follows this to High Cunsey. A very minor road.

I wish I hadn't said that as now you are walking down it and the traffic is a kin to the M6 on Friday night.

At the T junction turn left and on the left hand bend in the road turn right over the stile and on to the footpath which is marked and by a driveway.

Follow this path over and through various styles along the shore line ending at Rawlinson Nab. This view point offers great views of Windermere and Eastern Lake District Fells.

The path rejoins the road at a style. Turn right and continue along the road

At Low Cunsey Farm turn left along the bridle way At the Junction of paths turn left and follow Cunsey beck on you right

At the end of the path turn right and shortly right again at Eel House.

Follow this road passed Dub How Farm and at the T junction turn right.

Take the next left and follow the lane uphill. At the top you should find yourself at the top of our drive.

(5 miles - 8km, about 2½ hours)
